These Terms and Conditions govern all bookings and hires made with First Choice Castles (“we”, “our”, “us”). By booking with us, you agree to comply with these Terms and Conditions.

1. Booking Confirmation

Bookings are only confirmed once:

  • A booking has been accepted by us
  • Any required deposit has been paid
  • You have received confirmation from us

We reserve the right to refuse or cancel bookings at our discretion.

2. Payments

Deposits

A deposit may be required to secure your booking.

Deposits are non-refundable unless we cancel the booking.

Final Payment

The remaining balance must be paid:

  • Before setup, or
  • On delivery, depending on the agreed arrangement

Failure to pay may result in cancellation of the hire.

3. Cancellations

Customer Cancellation

If you cancel your booking:

  • Deposits are non-refundable
  • Short-notice cancellations may be charged in full

Weather Cancellations

Safety is our priority.

Outdoor inflatables may be cancelled due to:

  • High winds
  • Heavy rain
  • Unsafe weather conditions

In these cases, we may offer:

  • A refund
  • Credit
  • Rearranged booking

at our discretion.

4. Delivery and Setup

We will:

  • Deliver equipment to the agreed location
  • Set up equipment safely
  • Provide operating instructions where required

You must ensure:

  • Adequate access to the setup area
  • Sufficient space for the equipment booked
  • Clear access free from hazards
  • A responsible adult is present during delivery and collection

Additional charges may apply for:

  • Stairs
  • Long carrying distances
  • Delayed access
  • Incorrect booking information

5. Safety Rules

The hirer is responsible for ensuring all users follow these safety rules:

  • No shoes on inflatables
  • No sharp objects
  • No food, drink or chewing gum
  • No smoking near equipment
  • No climbing on walls or netting
  • No flips, wrestling or rough play
  • Users should be grouped by similar age and size
  • Adult supervision must be provided at all times

Equipment must not be used if:

  • Winds become unsafe
  • Equipment becomes damaged
  • Safety instructions cannot be followed

We reserve the right to stop use of equipment if unsafe behaviour occurs.

6. Equipment Responsibility

The hirer is fully responsible for the equipment during the hire period.

You agree:

  • To keep equipment secure
  • Not to move equipment after setup
  • Not to tamper with electrical equipment or anchoring systems
  • Not to sub-hire equipment

Any damage, theft or excessive cleaning required may result in additional charges.

7. Power Supply

The hirer is responsible for providing a safe and suitable electrical power supply unless otherwise agreed.

Generators supplied by us must only be operated according to instructions provided.

8. Site Requirements

The setup area must:

  • Be level
  • Be free from animal fouling
  • Be free from debris and sharp objects
  • Have suitable access
  • Meet minimum space requirements

We reserve the right to refuse setup if the location is considered unsafe.

9. Overnight Hires

Overnight hires are entirely at the hirer’s risk unless specifically agreed.

Equipment must remain secure and protected from:

  • Theft
  • Damage
  • Weather
  • Unauthorised use

10. Liability

Use of equipment is entirely at the hirer’s risk.

We accept no responsibility for:

  • Injury caused by misuse
  • Failure to follow safety instructions
  • Unsupervised use
  • Weather-related incidents outside our control
  • Loss or damage to personal belongings

Nothing in these Terms excludes liability where it cannot legally be excluded under UK law.

11. Insurance

We maintain public liability insurance appropriate to our business activities.

Proof of insurance may be provided upon request.

12. Photography and Marketing

We may occasionally use photographs of our equipment at events for marketing purposes.

If you do not wish for photographs from your event to be used, please notify us in writing before the hire date.

13. Force Majeure

We shall not be liable for failure to perform our obligations due to events beyond our reasonable control including:

  • Severe weather
  • Traffic delays
  • Power failures
  • Accidents
  • Natural disasters
  • Government restrictions

14. Complaints

Any complaints should be reported:

  • During the hire where possible, or
  • Within 48 hours after the hire period

We will aim to resolve complaints fairly and promptly.

15. Data Protection

Personal information is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

16. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to amend these Terms and Conditions at any time.

Updated versions will be published on our website.

17. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales.

Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
